Have you ever visited the Grand Canyon? 🌄 Mrs. Long’s 2nd grade class spent time learning all about it — then created wonderful travel guides and slideshows to show what they discovered. From colorful rock layers to wildlife facts, these students brought the canyon to life!

Wow — our Martin Innovative Elementary Program students amazed us at the Invention Convention on Wednesday, April 1! Hooked on hands-on learning! 🌿 Our 4th graders enjoyed a fantastic Environmental Field Day at the Bob Martin Ag Center—exploring nature, trying interactive activities, and building curiosity about the environment. Big thanks to everyone who supported this event!

Our very own Ms. Bowen and Mrs. P. Ivey led an inspiring PD at our last staff meeting after attending a conference on supporting students with disabilities. They shared practical strategies to help all learners thrive in the regular classroom. Thank you for your leadership and dedication!

Shout out to our amazing MIEP team — thank you for the thoughtful snacks for teachers on Friday! It was such a meaningful pick-me-up and truly appreciated by everyone.
Guess what Mrs. Long’s 2nd graders did this week? They read A Dinosaur Named Sue — a story about uncovering dinosaur bones — then became paleontologists for the day! Using paintbrushes and toothpicks, they carefully excavated chocolate chip cookie “fossils.” Such a fun, hands-on way to connect reading with science.
Looking for fun and new friends? Our student-led Friendship Club met last Tuesday in the media center and had a blast making slime together! We meet twice a month at 7:15 AM and love watching students connect through hands-on activities. Our next meeting is March 31.
Bus 173 will be running about 20 minutes late this afternoon due to mechanical issues.
Bus 196 had mechanical issues towards the end of the route. Students still on board have been transferred to a sub bus and will arrive a few minutes late.
