This month, our Exceptionally STEAM students dove into the “A” of STEAM and discovered powerful lessons from the masters: Van Gogh’s Starry Night showed how art can spark deep emotion, Picasso taught us about experimenting with portraits and perspective, and Michelangelo inspired conversations about perseverance and dedication.

Did someone say 80th Day of School? Our staff celebrated in style by dressing to impress in their favorite '80s attire — neon, leg warmers, vintage tees, and BIG hair everywhere! It was a fun blast from the past and a great way to celebrate school spirit.
Did you know words can change someone's day? Thanks to Mrs. Griffin and the Center for Safer Schools for coordinating an inspiring bullying-prevention activity. Students explored the power of language and learned how choosing the right words helps everyone feel welcome and safe.

Did someone say ocean adventure in PE? Earlier this week, Mrs. Toler’s 2nd graders teamed up with Coach Lilley for a lively game of Sharks and Minnows — on scooters! Students used only their legs to power across the “ocean,” practicing quick reflexes, balance, and cheering each other on.

Looking back on an amazing Candy Man Carnival on Dec. 12 — our students had so much fun! Those who sold 10+ items were treated to a special afternoon packed with games and activities. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and supported our school fundraiser!
Who knew dots and toothpicks could become tiny masterpieces? After reading "The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever," Mrs. Ivey’s 1st graders made adorable Christmas trees and filled the room with joy and creativity. Check out their proud smiles and handmade trees
Want a peek into our December classroom magic? Our Exceptionally STEAM students — along with some awesome, kind friends from Mrs. Sprouses' 1st grade class — dove into hands-on science: studying friction, designing and testing sleighs, and even growing a peppermint forest! It was a month full of curiosity, teamwork, and sweet discoveries.
Did someone say candy cane garden? Mrs. Wilder’s kindergarten class started with tic‑tac‑toe candy canes, watched them grow into minis and then big ones — and the best part: the kids got to eat them! Their excitement was priceless.
PJs + Polar Express = pure magic. Mrs. Wilder’s Kindergarten class cuddled up in their pajamas to watch The Polar Express as we wrapped up the last week before Christmas break. Tiny faces, big smiles, and all the holiday feels.
Did someone say gingerbread house challenge? Our Fourth & Fifth grade MIEP students were asked to design gingerbread houses from a variety of provided materials — and WOW, their creativity blew us away! From clever structural ideas to colorful decorations, every student brought something unique.
