These i-Ready leaders were recognized for passing the most lessons and putting in the most time. Way to work hard and soar, CUBS! 💙🐾

Mrs. Troop’s 4th grade ELA students celebrated their 5- and 10-Book Club members on Monday with a special lunch and games with their teacher! Such a fun way to recognize their reading dedication and hard work!

We celebrated Wisdom Wednesday on Friday in Mrs. Harrison’s 1st grade class with Mrs. Byrum, our School Counselor! Students learned about integrity (doing the right thing even when it’s hard) and shared ways they show honesty and responsibility at school and at home. Our first graders showed they understand that making good choices matters! #WisdomWednesday #SEL #CharacterEducation #Integrity

K–2 students had a blast combining reading and STEAM last week! After reading Learning to Ski with Mr. Magee, students enjoyed the author’s use of rhyme and then built ski slopes for their own “Mr. Magee” (a ping-pong ball), making sure it traveled the full length of the table without falling into the ravine. We also read The Thing About Yetis and put our creativity to work by building snow castles. Hands-on learning and imagination were on full display!

Mrs. Byrum supports our students in countless ways, helping them grow emotionally, socially, and academically while creating a school culture rooted in care, kindness, and connection. Her work touches every corner of our school, and we are so thankful for the heart she brings to Rodgers every day.

We proudly celebrated our 2nd nine week scholars on Friday at Rodgers Elementary! It was a wonderful time recognizing students for their hard work, academic growth, and positive character. We are so proud of our students and grateful for the continued support of their parents and families who partner with us every step of the way. Congratulations to all of our award recipients! Keep up the amazing work!
These photos highlight just a few of our many award recipients! So many students were celebrated!

Staff enjoyed refreshments, students loved getting the chance to wish her a happy birthday, and our 5th graders surprised her with a banner and a song! We loved celebrating a principal who means so much to our school family!

These students were recognized for showing positive behavior and setting a great example for others. We are so proud of the kindness, effort, and character they show each day at Rodgers Elementary!

❄️ Inclement Weather Learning Information (Feb 2 - 6) ❄️
In the event of inclement weather between Feb. 2 - 6, please use the links below to access daily assignment packets for each grade level.
Students should complete:
Day 1 assignments on Monday
Day 2 assignments on Tuesday, and so on
(only for the day(s) school is closed).
These activities are designed to be completed at your family’s pace and will help students stay connected to learning while at home. In order for your child to be counted present during our virtual learning days, completed packets must be returned to their teacher upon returning to school.
Thank you for your support and flexibility. We wish our CUB families a wonderful weekend! Please stay safe and warm! 💙🐾
Our top i-Ready Reading and Math performers from last week earned a fun reward today! Since we had to postpone Take Off Tuesday, students enjoyed a 3-minute snowball fight in the hall this morning while “Let It Go” played on the speakers. Lots of smiles and laughter! These i-Ready leaders earned this celebration by having passed lessons with the highest average and completing all 45 minutes. Way to work hard and soar, CUBS!
Today, Mrs. Gurganus’ class teamed up with Mrs. Byrum, our School Counselor, to focus on our last lesson on perseverance. Students reflected on an inspiring Michael Jordan quote about failure and success, learned that even legends face setbacks (yes—he didn’t make his high school basketball team!), and discussed what it truly means to never give up.
Students shared how perseverance connects to their own lives and created a class list of things that are challenging for them, but worth continuing to try. A powerful reminder that success comes from effort, resilience, and believing in yourself! 💪🏀📚 #WisdomWednesday #SEL #CharacterEducation #Perseverance
