Over the past two weeks, 4th graders have been exploring how light travels! They discovered that light moves in a straight path and that when something blocks it, a shadow forms. Moving the light will change the shadow’s shape. To wrap up the unit, students worked together in groups to write and perform their very own shadow plays! What a fun and creative way to bring science to life!

Today is Unity Day! We wore orange to stand against bullying and show that kindness matters. Together, we choose unity for a safer, kinder world. Every act of kindness counts! Check out how we showed up in orange! #UnityDay2025

5th graders have been participating in stations this week to help prepare for a test! At one station, they experimented with the states of matter by taking wax from a solid to liquid! While doing this, they put the Law of Conservation of Mass to test- Matter can be neither created nor destroyed during a physical change. The mass of the wax when it was in solid form was equal to the mass of the wax in liquid form! They then weighed out fragrance, added it to the wax, and made wax melts!

This week, our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Character Education program featured a meaningful lesson on Respect. Students explored what it means to show respect at home, at school, and in the digital world. Check out these great moments from Mrs. Stokes' amazing third grade!

Our 1st grade enrichment group brought the story ‘How Chipmunk Got Its Stripes’ to life with their Reader’s Theater performance! Students created their own puppets and practiced their lines with enthusiasm. They did an amazing job, and their classmates loved every moment of the show!
