It’s Wisdom Wednesday! Today Mrs. Gurganus, Second Grade Teacher, and Mrs. Byrum, School Counselor, shared about our December Character Trait, Good Judgment with her class. Students explored how thinking before acting, staying calm, and choosing kindness help us make wise choices.
Students used a simple checklist:
✔️ Is it safe?
✔️ Is it kind?
✔️ Would I be proud later?
Our Cubs shared great examples, like walking away from arguments and speaking up when something feels wrong.

Our 5th grade math students at Rodgers got into the Thanksgiving spirit today by planning their own holiday meals!
They used real-world math skills to calculate:
• how many pounds of turkey they needed
• the cost of their turkey
• how long it would take to cook
• which sides to include (and how much based on servings)
• the cost of each side
• AND the total calories in their full Thanksgiving meal!
Talk about putting math into action! They are officially ready for the holiday!
