Staff Spotlight & Shoutout to Excellence at Rodgers Elementary!
We are so proud to celebrate two of our incredible educators who are making an impact beyond our school walls!
Mrs. Stacey Stokes showcased her leadership by sharing our schoolwide Reading Log family partnership during the Martin County Schools third grade ELA planning day. Her work highlights the power of family engagement and supports reading success for students across the county.
Mrs. Karen Troop, our fourth grade ELA teacher, recently shared her expertise on the Elevate reading intervention program with 4th and 5th grade teachers throughout Martin County Schools. Her knowledge, dedication, and willingness to lead continue to benefit both students and fellow educators.
We are so proud of how both Mrs. Stokes and Mrs. Troop represent Rodgers Elementary through leadership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to student success. Way to lead and inspire!

Even during a short week, our Cubs continue to shine! During morning announcements, we took time to PAWS for Applause and recognize students whose names were drawn from our PBIS Honey Jar for showing positive behaviors connected to our CUBS Matrix! These students were noticed for making good choices, helping others, and setting a positive example for those around them. We are so proud of the kindness, responsibility, and effort we see every day at Rodgers Elementary!
Quinn T - went above and beyond on trying his best on the the test. He made significant improvement and utilized strategies well.
Chase R - Invited another student to work with him when they had no partner
Grayson H - Grayson cleaned up someone's juice that spilled in the floor.

Students worked in groups and were challenged to design a mailbox that opens and closes for Little Blue Truck to deliver Valentines to his friends, - using only the materials in their crate. The creativity and problem-solving on display showed that we have some amazing engineers at work! 🚚❤️

We celebrated our CUBS who earned it with a fun PBIS CUB CLUBS event!
Students rotated through three exciting clubs (dance competition, directed drawing, and Minute to Win It) and had a blast along the way! Smiles were everywhere! A special shout-out to our 5th grade helpers who did an amazing job supporting and leading our K–2 Cubs! We’re so proud of our amazing students who show great character every day!

Students enjoyed music, lunch with friends, and a variety of fun activities, including hula-hooping, hopscotch, board games, and even a little gymnastics! Smiles, laughter, and lots of fun made it a great way to celebrate our readers!

Such a fun, hands-on way to wrap up their learning and bring science to life!

This week, students practiced spelling patterns that make the /j/ sound and had the opportunity to demonstrate their learning for the class by marking words at the board. What a great way to build confidence and show what they know!
