We have had a great week at JES! It has been so nice to see all those beautiful smiles.
This is a reminder that Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday and Friday with no school for students.
JES will have K registration Thursday, March 10 10am-12 & 1-3 pm. Our second opportunity to sign up for kindergarten will be March 23rd 3-6pm. We will also have PreK Open House on March 23rd from 3-6pm to give PreK parent the opportunity to visit the classroom and ask any questions.

Our school day begins at 7:55 am and we dismiss at 3pm. Students need to be here in time to eat breakfast prior to starting their instructional day.
Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team! They came in second place and earned a silver medal at the competition this past week. Special thanks to Mrs. Johnson for coaching this awesome team.
This week there will be Parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, March 10th 10 am-7pm and Friday, March 11th 8am-12 noon. Please schedule with your child’s teacher. There will be NO SCHOOL for students on March 10th & 11th.
JES will have Kindergarten registration March 10th 10am-12 & 1-3pm and March 23rd from 3-6pm. Please make sure to bring your child for a quick screening. Our PreK class will also host an Open house March 23rd from 4-6pm.

Thanks to the families that supported the Bookfair this past week. It was very successful!
This week students in grades 3-5 will participate in NC Check-ins. We will begin on Tuesday with 5th grade science; Wednesday ELA and Thursday Math. Please have students at school on time each day.
Students participating in the Science fair; Judging will be Thurs Feb 3rd at 1pm.
Fourth grade students will participate in NAEP assessments Feb 9th.
Updated MCS dress code policy has been posted on our webpage and social media. Please make sure no leggings or yoga pants.
If your child is experiencing any symptoms or tests positive, please contact the school nurse or administration prior to sending your child to school. We will continue to work together to keep students, staff and parents safe and healthy. Masks are required for everyone in the buildings and on buses. Guidelines have recently changed.

Martin County Schools will be closed Friday, January 21 for students and staff.

Martin County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Tuesday, January 4. Staff should report on their regular schedule as long as travel conditions allow them to do so safely.
