Students are doing Check Ins this week at school. These are the third and final check ins before students take their End Of Grade tests at the end of May. Please make sure students are on time to school this week. Remember, next Friday students do not come to the school house, but it is a Remote Learning day. Spring Break begins a week from Monday. Congratulations to our Battle of the books team who finished 2nd in the regional competition on Wednesday and our Math Counts team that finished first place in the competition today! Congratulations to the E.J. Hayes Elementary Math Counts team who came in first place today at the county wide event. Special recognition to Teddy Swain who came in 1st place and Nicholas Leary who came in 3rd place in the individual competition. Go Tigers!

Good luck to our battle of the Books and Math Counts teams who are competing this week at Innovation campus. Science Check ins for 5th graders will happen on Tuesday. Tuesday April 5th is also the PTA meeting for Hayes with amazing art on display to view and take home. We hope to see as many parents there as possible! 4th Graders will visit the innovation campus on Thursday and Friday. Please make sure you signed the permission slip. Picture day is tomorrow! Students can dress up! Please remember, absolutely no ripped jeans are allowed at school.
Greetings Tiger Family! This is your principal Jason Myers with an important reminder. Thursday, March 31 is our Principal List and Honor Roll Ceremony. Students who made all A's or all A's and B's will attend the ceremony where they will receive an iced treat and a certificate proclaiming their achievement. We are inviting parents and guardians to attend as well. 5th grade will start at 1:00, 4th grade at 1:30, and 3rd grade at 2:00. The school is also looking for new and used belts if anyone is able to provide some to us for students in need. And once again thank you supporting E.J. Hayes, where Relationships foster Learning.

Please remember that tomorrow is a remote learning day for students and an optional teacher workday for teachers. Progress Reports will go home on Thursday March 31st of this week. Thursday is also the day that the PTA will hold a celebration for Honor Roll and Principal list students. 5th grade will start at 1:00pm, 4th grade at 1:30pm, and 3rd grade at 2:00pm. Parents and Guardians are welcome and Masks are now optional. Picture Day is on Friday April 1st. Please look for information coming home with your students.
