We’re excited to announce our Krispy Kreme Fundraiser. Information is being sent home today, and all money is due by Thursday, December 19th. Support our school while enjoying delicious treats. Thank you for helping us make this fundraiser a success.

As we step into the festive month of December, this month's WOW was about reflecting on the reason for the season. During this month's WOW, the focus was on the importance of kindness, compassion, and serving others. These discussions encouraged our students to think about how small acts of kindness can make a big impact in our community.
We’re incredibly proud of the ways our students are embodying the Going for the GOLD spirit—leading with kindness and striving to be a blessing to others. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home, sharing ideas as a family about how to spread joy and positivity this holiday season.
Together, let’s make this December one to remember—full of kindness, love, and service to others. Thank you for your continued support in fostering a community of care and compassion at E.J. Hayes Elementary.

PARENT QUESTIONS: What does a ClassDojo point represent? What is used to determine whether or not a student is able to participate in celebrations?
Class Dojo points at E. J. Hayes Elementary reflect students' character and work ethic. Students earn points not only in their regular classrooms but also for meeting GOLD Expectations in their special classes. Each day, there’s a set maximum of points, and every student starts fresh daily. This quarter’s goal is 80%, with expectations for excellence in character and work ethic rising as the year progresses. Whether your child excels academically or faces challenges, kindness and hard work are vital traits we celebrate and nurture. Thank you for supporting our commitment to building strong character in our students.
