A: Any person entering the school buildings. This includes students, teachers, staff, and visitors.
Q: What is the screening process?
A: Anyone that enters the building will have their temperature checked and will be asked the following 3 questions:
Have you (staff or student) had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or been told by the health department or health care provider to quarantine?

Q: When will this screening and temperature check take place and how?
A: Everyday at the school entrance and upon boarding school buses. Students who ride the bus will be asked screening questions or have completed an attestation form answering those screening questions and have their temperature checked by staff prior to getting on the bus. Students who arrive in the car line will be screened in the car line by a staff member prior to getting out of their vehicle. Student drivers and passengers will be screened by staff before entering the buildings. Daily Covid-19 attestation forms can be completed and turned in to help speed up the screening process by car riders and student drivers.
Q: What is an Attestation Form?
A: The Attestation form is a small document that the parent or guardian signs off on every day to certify that their child has been screened at home for the COVID-19 questions and had a temperature check. This form is necessary for children K-5 who can not answer these questions on their own. The Attestation form is designed to help move all children on to the school bus and into the school building in a quicker manner. Martin County Schools ask that all parents use the Attestation form if possible.

A: If you did not select to use Martin County school bus transportation we can not change the method of transportation until the end of the semester. Bus routes are set up based on the number of student requests and are guided by the CDD and NC state guidance related to COVID-19.
