This week’s PAWS for Applause winners at Rodgers! We're proud to recognize these students for their positive choices and great behavior. Way to go, Cubs!
Audrey H -Audrey helped a student through a difficult morning. Sarah Scott U - Sarah Scott held a trashcan for a sick child and helped them get to the office. Savannah R - Savannah loves to help her friends find places in the school! Lucy W - The class lunch crate broke in the hallway. Lucy stopped to help, cleaned up, and organized without being asked. Frankie L - Frankie was complimenting and encouraging his friends during small group by giving high fives and saying "Great job!
Then they took on a STEM challenge, building the tallest tower possible so Gilbert the Goblin could find the yetis!
So much creativity, problem-solving, and fun all in one activity!
Students are learning about different types of fossils, including trace fossils(footprints) and how they tell stories to scientist about how the animals lived and moved! Students got to pick an animal, learn what their footprints look like, and create their own story using only only trace fossils! What a creative and fun way to bring science to life!
Each student was given a fraction card, and the class used their reasoning skills to work together and order the fractions from least to greatest.
Lots of thinking, moving, and learning! What a great way to make fractions fun and interactive!
Students worked in groups to sort living and nonliving things after learning about cells, unicellular, and multicellular organisms. They used cards to create posters and explained the characteristics that make something a “living” organism. Then, the next day, students took their learning even further by observing plant and animal cells under the microscope! What an awesome hands-on way to explore life science!

Ella R - Ella volunteered to go last to hold baby Jesus during Lifewise. She wanted her classmates to all have a chance before she did.
Kenzi W - Kenzi is very responsible. She always follow directions and shows kindness daily without being asked. She picks up the classroom without being asked.
Deaglan G - He said we should all be thankful for our lunch because there are kids to do not have any lunch.
It was a cozy, joyful way to celebrate together!
