Ms. Willoughby's 7th grade math class is applying what they've learned in order to make a presentation of math problems. They are showing the process on poster board and explaining why their answer is the correct one. What a fun way to showcase knowledge!

MCS students continue to showcase their skills in the business community through our J.O.B.S. Internship Program. Landon Stalls, a Junior at RHS, uses his technical and mechanical skills at Cowan's Repair of Williamston.

Ms. Deaton's seventh grade science class had fun applying what they learned about energy into flying paper airplanes. They loaded potential energy into a rubber band by stretching it and the release of the rubber band turns the energy into kinetic energy. These two types of energies together is an example of mechanical energy. Who knew learning about energy could be so much fun!

Mr. Howell's World History Class did an awesome job with their research projects. Want to learn some world history? Come and check out the projects in the library.

If you liked RMS's Fine Arts Night, come and check out Martin County's Spring Showcase.

The German Exchange program interest meeting is tomorrow night.

Our 6th graders have been studying Mesoamerica and the adaptive farming techniques they used. Today they created and tested out their own floating gardens which were used by the Aztec.

Ms. Deaton's seventh grade science classes had a chance to prove Newton's 2nd Law of Motion F = MA (force = mass x acceleration) in a fun way. They used tennis balls, golf balls, and ping pong balls to prove the law. Science can be so much fun!

We made the most out of a power outage in the library today by having flashlight book searches. The students liked it so much we may do it again just for fun.

The visual arts at our Fine Arts Night were just as amazing as our music. Check these out!

What a fabulous Fine Arts Night. Here are more pictures of our talented students. We are so proud.

As promised, here are more pictures of our Fine Arts Night!

Our Fine Arts Night showcased a lot of talent with vocals, instruments , and visual arts. It was a pleasure to see our students shine in the arts. Thanks to Mrs. Fay and Ms. Moore for putting on such a great night. Also, a big thank you to our PTA for a really nice spread of hors d'oeuvres. (Stay tuned for more pictures.)

Jodie Edmonson from teen court came to talk with students about volunteer opportunities within the program. Any student that wishes to join can get an application from the front office.
