Mrs Stalls class talked about pumpkins this week. We had a pumpkin taste and had a pumpkin catapult challenge.






6th grade MIMS students had a fun filled day. Students explored Wright Brothers Memorial & Jockey’s Ridge State Park.









7th grade students are learning about adding and subtracting rational numbers in math. Groups were challenged to create their very own game boards. Their project included creating a theme, game board, rules, and word problem player cards to help players/learners practice adding and subtracting rational numbers. They finished the project by playing each other's board games!
Today 5th grade students from Rodger’s Elementary visited Miss Leggett's and Mr. Reason’s MIMS classes. Students learned about bacteria and disease transmission.

Ms. Miller's class had a fun break out lesson today. They had to figure out the codes to unlock a box full of Halloween candy. Yum!

Who doesn't like Pajama Day?




MIMS had special visitors from Jamesville Elementary's 4th and 5th grade classes. JES students had lunch with our middle schoolers and spent time in Ms. Leggett's and Mr. Reason's classes. They ended their visit by taking part in a Social Studies and Science STEAM project.

A bitter sweet end to our first tennis season at RMS. Our girls worked hard and showed good sportsmanship.

7th grade MIMS students have been learning about the Age of Exploration recently. They put their boat building skills to the test with a STEAM project. Students were required to construct a boat that coud float and be powered by a Spero Robot.

Ms. Stalls' class had a wonderful time learning about community helpers. They learned from a fireman, cafeteria worker, librarian, janitor and farmer how their jobs help the community.
