Greetings Tiger Family, This is your Principal Jason Myers with an important announcement, our PTA is hosting a choral concert tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the gymnasium. Santa Clause will also be making an appearance for pictures with students. Students who are singing should arrive no later than 6:15pm. All people should enter through the gym doors and masks are required to enter the building. We are also having spirit days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. Wednesday: Merry and Bright---students wear festive clothing/accessories (sparkles, light up clothing, necklaces, and/or sequins). Thursday: Holiday Headgear/footwear--festive hats/antlers and/or crazy Christmas Socks. Friday: Christmas Spirit Day--Christmas shirt/sweater and jeans (Sweater can be "UGLY") Thank you for choosing E.J. Hayes: Where relationships foster learning!

We are still looking for new and used donations for our Christmas shoppe which will allow students to buys gifts for their family members through good behavior tickets earned in school. We also still need some gift wrappers on Thursday and Friday. Please contact your teacher for more information on how to help. Many students completed art projects dealing with flying but they need a permission slip signed to compete in an art competition signed by tomorrow. Please remember that our PTA will have an event this Tuesday December 14th at 6:30pm. Students will also be singing Christmas songs at this meeting. Students should arrive by 6:15pm if they are participating. Please remember that Friday is an Early Release Day and students will depart school at 12:45pm. And once again, Thank you for choosing E.J. Parents, please be advised that E.J. Hayes has had 1 teacher test positive with COVID-19...Out of an abundance of caution and the recommendation of the Martin, Tyrell, Washington Health Department, all students and staff who could have been in close contact with this individual will be in quarantine for a designated period of time. All of these individuals' parents and guardians have been informed of the situation.

The last day for the 2nd 6 weeks is November 16. Thank you. Dress Code Reminder: Elementary students in grades K-5 may wear any solid color "polo" style shirt. Pants, skirts, jumpers or shorts must be khaki, navy blue, or black. Students can wear Non Hooded solid colored sweatshirts/sweaters to school. Students might be asked to take Jackets or coats off in the building. Students are not allowed to wear hooded sweatshirts in the building. Bedroom shoes are not permitted at E.J. Hayes.
