MCS Career & Tech Ed is training tomorrow's workforce today! Welding Instructor Mr. Albach has students working on vertical welds and angles while Mrs. Patterson's Horticulture I class brings technology to the greenhouse to complete assignments. Work-based learning is thriving, and we offer students more career development opportunities. MCS CTE is so complete, no one else can compete.

MCS Community Coalition Reminder: Join us tonight
The Parent Involvement Committee of the MCS Community Coalition will offer free training for students and parents on Thursday, March 20.!
Drugs Uncovered: What Parents Need to Know is tailored for parents. For the Health of it! is designed for middle school students.
Dinner will be provided before the 2-hour workshops.

SCMS Family, Don't forget that Thursday night is the "Fall in Love with Martin" event. This event will be held at the MCS Innovative Campus from 6-8 pm. We look forward to seeing all of our Cougar Family there. Any students who attend the event will receive 5 bonus points on a quiz.

Flagstone Foods, Inc. of Robersonville, a regional snack food manufacturer, visited MCS CTE students recently to discuss the plant's opportunities regarding employment, salary, and the education and skills needed. Mr Tony Hinton, Director of People Transformation, and Ms. Ericca Webb, Production Manager, enlightened students about Flagstone products and career choices. Students were also provided a Planters snack, produced at the Flagstone facility.
We appreciate Flagstone Foods and Mr. Hinton for serving on our MCS Career & Technical Education Business & Industry Council.
Congrats to our MCS CTE Internship students who completed a successful work-based learning experience for the fall semester. 80% of the enrolled students have secured employment in part-time work while in school, or full-time employment post-graduation.
