Allie Whitaker, Andrew Cooke, and Waylon Howell proudly represented RMS FFA at the NC Poultry Evaluation CDE held at the NC State Fairgrounds on March 31.

From placing market broilers and layer hens to evaluating interior and exterior egg quality, they demonstrated strong attention to detail. They also took on meat product evaluation, carcass grading, parts identification, and delivered oral reasons with confidence.

We are so proud of their hard work and representation of RMS and Martin County Schools!

MIMS students took their learning beyond the classroom and straight to the battlefield! 🇺🇸 While studying the American Revolution, students had the incredible opportunity to visit Yorktown Battlefield - the site of an important American victory that forced the surrender of nearly one-third of the British army and helped secure independence. Walking the very grounds where history was made brought their studies to life in a powerful and unforgettable way. Students were tasked with a virtual scavenger hunt throughout the museum to bring competition to their learning. On the way home, students continued their adventure with a stop at the Great Dismal Swamp State Park, where they explored the natural environment and connected their learning to the world around them. 🌿 Experiences like these make history meaningful, engaging, and real for our students!

Our Battle of the Books team had fun competing today in the regional competition. Even though they came in fourth place we are so proud of their hard work and dedication. Thank you Ms. Williams for driving us today and a special thanks to Mrs. Horodyski who gave Coach Horn a break this year and made our team shirts. It's definitely a team effort. Go Knights!!

MIMS students spent the day giving back by packing bags for the food pantry in Jamesville. Opportunities like this remind us how important it is to encourage community service and help students see the impact they can make close to home. They wrapped up their hard work with a well-earned lunch at Hardison’s BBQ—a perfect end to a meaningful day!
