MCS Career & Technical Education students participated in the Edgecombe-Martin EMC Line Tech Camp yesterday near Tarboro, NC. While at the EMEMC facility, students had hands-on experiences to understand all the processes of an Electrical Line Technician. This type of work-based learning opportunity provides students with relative career investigation, broadening the aspects of the normal pathway. Mr. Albach, MCS Welding Teacher, described the camp as "awesome"!

MCHS Class of 2029 was on campus for a tour this past Thursday and Friday. They got to tour the campus of MCHS and the Innovative Campus. Please remember our 8th grade night is on 4/14 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the media center.

We celebrated our media coordinator today on librarians day. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Libby Grimes on our staff. She has only been with us this semester and has already made great strides in improving the media center.

MCHS Senior Signs with Army National Guard
Signing Day for a high school student often means a commitment to athletics at the next level.
On March 28th, Ryan Windley signed to serve his state and country as a member of the Army National Guard.
He is currently a senior in high school in his fifth semester in the district’s JROTC Program.
Windley will attend Basic Combat Training this fall and attend Advanced Individual Training and train for his military occupation specialty as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist (74D).
Based on his commitment, Windley will qualify for 100 percent tuition assistance and begin receiving compensation for drills and federal service time toward retirement.
