.From the National Weather Service AREAS OF DENSE FOG ACROSS EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA THIS MORNING...Areas of fog as developed across Eastern North Carolina this morning reducing visibilities to one half mile or less at times. Motorists should remain alert for a rapidly changing visibilities over short distances. When encountering the dense fog, slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of braking distance between you and the vehicle ahead. Visibilities are expected to improve between 8 and 9 AM as the fog begins to lift and dissipate.

Good evening JES! Special thanks to the Jamesville Fire Department and it’s volunteers for making us feel so welcome on our tour for Fire Safety Week. The kids had a blast! Thanks to the families that participated in Parent-teacher conferences. Students need to be in class by 7:55am each morning and stay for the entire day. Our instructional time is very important for student progress. Check-ins (Benchmark testing) Grades 3-5 October 13th English Language Arts October 14th Math October 15th Make-ups October 19th Read to Achieve October 26th Science (5th grade only) 1st Six Week Student Celebrations - October 15th-Students will receive certificates from their teachers for their hard work this past grading period. Candy Man Prize Day/Celebration - October 21st Fall Picture Day - October 25th If your child is experiencing any symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19, please contact the school nurse or administration prior to sending your child to school. Good afternoon JES! This week is Fire Prevention Week. All classes will take a walking tour of the Jamesville Fire Department. Students will have the opportunity to tour the fire department, explore fire equipment and vehicles. We will also show students where to go in case of a school emergency. Students meeting their Accelerated Reading goal will have popsicles on the playground this week. Thurs.
