
Based on the latest weather report predicting inclement weather in our region for early Thursday morning, January 28, Martin County Schools will be closed for students (no instruction) and all 10 month employees including Teacher Assistants, Custodians, and Child Nutrition Staff.
Thursday, January 28th, will be replaced by the “unscheduled day” listed on our school calendar for Monday, February 15, 2021. As such, Monday, February 15th will become a regular school and workday for 10-month staff and students to make up for Thursday, January 28, 2021.
Please note that no school meals will be served on January 28, 2021.

Virtual Learning will continue through Feb 5th. Students will return to campus Monday, February, 8th.
Students need to attend daily LIVE sessions with their teachers and complete assignments. Work is due the week it is assigned. Assignments for the week of Jan 18th-22nd are due Sunday, Jan. 24th.
February is Black History and Kindness Month. Activities and announcements coming soon! March is Read Across America and Book Fair. Look for exciting news about our Book Fair theme. There will be enchanting surprises!
Curbside meal distribution continues from 11 am-1 pm. Mobile food delivery also continues to Cedar Branch Church, Gospel Light and Roanoke Court.
Parents and students check email and PowerSchool regularly for updates on grades and assignments.

Students return to LIVE Google meet sessions with their teachers Tuesday, January 19, 2021. LIVE meets with teachers are daily & assignments are to be completed in the week they are assigned.

Students will have until Sunday night to submit assignments for this week. Mon. Jan 18 is MLK Holiday-No school for students and staff. My name is Michelle Mobley and I am excited to join the wonderful team of educators as the new Principal of Jamesville Elementary. Thank you to Mr Guard for his service and dedication to Jamesville Elementary and the community. A few reminders for returning to school on January 5th. Please help us continue to keep children safe by helping us follow these guidelines. Students must wear a mask everyday at school. If your child has been exposed to COVID-19 or has developed any of the symptoms, please do not send them to school on Tuesday and contact our school nurse - Mrs. Julie Thomas by phone or email - jthomas@martin.k12.nc.us.
School starts at 7:55 am each day. Students arriving on campus after 7:55 am, need to sign into the main office before reporting to class.

Greetings Jamesville Elementary School families-During Thanksgiving we want to still attend to the health needs of your child and ensure everyone is ready to return to school- Please contact Nurse Thomas at jthomas@martin.k12.nc.us if your child tests positive or has been exposed to or develops symptoms of COVID-19. These symptoms include fever 100.4 or higher-new cough-loss of taste-smell-chills, shortness of breath-difficulty breathing. If your child falls into any of the categories-do not send your child to school until the nurse or someone at the school contacts you to determine your child's return to school date.
