Students in Ms. Patterson's Animal Science class recently visited one eastern NC location of Country View Family Farms, which is headquartered in Pennsylvania. A sow production operation, Country View ships pigs from the East Coast to the Midwest. Students were able to view the bio-secure hog operation in Bertie County and visit the only trailer wash and bio-dry facility in North Carolina, located in Williamston! Thanks to Mr. Devin Burroughs, Farm Production Manager for Country View, for leading the tour. CVFF also makes Hatfield bacon, sold at local supermarkets.
