Greetings Tiger Family, This is your Principal Jason Myers with an important announcement. The PTA will be having a ceremony on Thursday October 21st to honor our students who were on Principal's list or made honor roll for the 1st 6 weeks. Principal list students got all A's. Honor Roll students got all A's and B's. 4th grade ceremony is at 1:00pm. 3rd grade ceremony is at 1:30pm. 5th grade ceremony is at 2:00pm.
Parents are welcome to join us. After the ceremony is complete, you will have the option to check your child out of school early. Please park in the parking lot and not in the car pick up line. Please talk to your teacher or call the school if you have any questions. One more reminder: Friday is wear Pink day to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month. Students and teachers are invited to wear pink shirts and jeans on that day. And once again, thank you for choosing E.J. Hayes: Where relationships foster learning!

The Book Fair is happening this week at Hayes. Monday is Preview day students and parents and can start purchasing books on Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 to 4:30pm. AREAS OF DENSE FOG ACROSS EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA THIS MORNING...Areas of fog as developed across Eastern North Carolina this morning reducing visibilities to one half mile or less at times. Motorists should remain alert for a rapidly changing visibilities over short distances. When encountering the dense fog, slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of braking distance between you and the vehicle ahead. Visibilities are expected to improve between 8 and 9 AM as the fog begins to lift and dissipate.

Tomorrow is Fun Day at EJH. Students qualified for fun day by having great behavior 4 out of 5 days a week. Thank you to the PBIS team for all of their help making this event possible. Students and staff can wear spirit wear to school tomorrow like we do on Fridays. Thanks. Thursday is a remote learning day for Martin County Schools. Please talk to your teachers for guidance. Students do not go to school on Oct 7 and Oct 8. Parent Teacher conferences will be this Thursday from 4-7pm and Friday from 8am-noon. Please call the school if you have any questions.
