In preparation for the possibility of inclement weather in Martin County, EJ Hayes Elementary is taking proactive steps to ensure continuity of learning for our students.Because this weather system may bring significant snow accumulation and the possibility of power outages, all students will take home a paper packet of assignments covering up to 5 days of instruction this weekend.
📚 Student Work Packets
All students were sent home with a 5-day learning packet on Friday, January 30, 2025. These packets should be completed if days next week are designated remote learning days.
For 3rd grade each day’s work includes:
1 combined ELA assignment
1 Math assignment
For 4th and 5th grade each day’s work includes:
1 ELA assignment
1 Math assignment
1 Science assignment
The packet is clearly labeled by day to help students stay organized.
💻 Technology Use
If school is closed due to inclement weather, Chromebooks will NOT be used. All student work for remote days will be completed using the paper packet.
📝 Student Expectations
Students are expected to complete the assignments for the assigned day.
Completed work should be returned to school when we resume in-person learning.
