NOTICE OF SALE
Notice is hereby given that the Martin County Board of Education will accept sealed bids for the sale "as is" of the real property described herein until Monday, the 6th day of July, 2020, at 6:30 0'clock, P.M., at the Central Office of the Board at 300 N. Watts Street, Williamston, NC 27892, at which time and place the bids will be opened. A deposit of 5% of the amount bid shall accompany the bid, which deposit shall be retained until closing if the bid is accepted. Bids will be accepted or rejected within 30 days after the bid opening. The Board reserves the right to reject all bids. Closing shall within a reasonable time as determined by the Board after the successful bid is accepted. This property is described as follows: The land and structures thereon known as the former Williamston Middle School Campus consisting of approximately 7.5 acres, located at 600 N. Smithwick Street, Williamston, NC 27892. This property is bounded on the west by North Smithwick Street, on the east by School Drive, on the south by Grace Street, and was conveyed to the Martin County Board of Education in Deed recorded in Book D-3 page 64 and Book Q-4 page 151 and by order recorded in Book E-25 page 535, Martin County Registry. Reference is made to these instruments for a more detailed description.
