Additional Information:

  • Homecoming Queen and King elections will be held Monday, October 2 through Wednesday, October 4.  Only seniors will vote for the King.  The Queen election will be open to the RHS student body only. No SCHS students may vote in any election held at RHS.

  • All Homecoming Court members will receive an important document through email from Mr. Hollis that will need to be filled out and returned ASAP.

  • Homecoming Week is next week.  Teachers will be able to give more detailed information about each theme so please ask them.  The dress-up days will be:

    • Monday: Anything But a Backpack Day

    • Tuesday: Twin Day

    • Wednesday: Celebrity/Character Day

    • Thursday:  Music Genre/Favorite Album Day

    • Friday:  Spirit Day

  • The annual RHS Homecoming Parade and pep rally will be on Friday, October 6.  We will have a special schedule that day.  The parade will begin around 2:15 and will be followed by a pep rally in the gym.

  • A Google Form has been sent to all RHS students to gauge interest in participating in a Musical Chairs Competition held during the pep rally on October 6.  This form is open through Friday, September 29.  Twenty randomly selected people will be chosen from all applicants and those twenty will participate in the Musical Chairs Competition.  The winner of the Musical Chairs Competition will hit Mr. Mizelle with a pie at the Homecoming game on the night of October 6.  Please do not enter your name if you know you cannot attend the Homecoming Game.

  • Students, blankets are not allowed out in the building.

  • Student parking passes are on sale for $20. Please see Ms. Manning in the front office to get the form and pay your money. You need to purchase a pass by November 1st.

  • Make up picture day will be October 6. This includes senior and underclassmen pictures. Seniors please see or email Mr. Griffin if you need to make up your formal pictures.

  • HOSA is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday October 4th in the auditorium. Mrs. Ward emailed a permission form that is required for 16 and 17 year olds to participate. Let Mrs. Ward know if you have any questions.

  • October 6th is Advanced Manufacturing Day! Mr. Prettyman teaches Advanced Manufacturing at the innovation campus and he will host special guests from SS custom cycles and Schewels furniture. The event will start at 9 AM at the IC. 

  • Seniors are reminded that Makeup Senior Drape pictures will be on Friday, Oct. 6th. There will not be an opportunity for casual pictures. This will be drape pictures only.

  • Senior Fees are $90 & are payable to Mrs. Hoggard each day by 1:00 p.m. No money will be accepted after 1:00. This covers the cost of the cap & gown unit & other costs of graduation. Fees will increase to $95 on November 1st.

  • The Senior t-shirt sale has been extended through Friday, October 6.  The prices are:  Small-XL: $20, 2XL: $22, 3XL: $24, 4XL: $26.  Students must pay with the correct change if paying with cash.  Checks should be made out to Riverside High.  Please pay Mr. Hollis in room 011 BEFORE 1:00 pm.  Mr. Hollis cannot take money after that time.   The last day for payment is Friday, October 6.
