Interested in rockets or space? The week after spring break, RHS will be hosting a 5 day Knight Lunch series called Rocketing to the Moon. Students will design moon landers and send some rockets to the sky! Contact Mr. Conner if you are interested in participating. Spots are limited.

Student need to wear the proper MCS Dress Code to school and class each day. This includes being on campus for only one class.

Students are reminded to be to school and class on time each day. Students and parents are reminded that if you have more that 8 unexcused absences, you may not receive credit for your courses. Even if you have a passing average. Students have the opportunity to make up time missed with their teachers. Makeup time is minute for minute for each class period missed.

Artsplosion will be April 30th-May 6th. Selected Riverside student artworks will be on display with artwork from other MCS students in the Building 1 Lobby at Martin Community College. Parent Night is April 30th from 6:30-8:30pm.

Students who signed a contract and who were invited by Mr. Myers are invited to attend Attendance Appeal Makeup day on Wednesday April 24, 2019 from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Students who attend need to bring homework, school work, study materials, or something to read. Technology will not be available and phones are not allowed. Varsity Baseball at North Pitt High School tonight-04-22-2019- for round 2 of the Pitt County Easter Tournament - They will be playing North Pitt High School. Come out and support Knights - Game Begins at 7:30 pm - Go Knights!

Students athletes please stay in contact with you coaches during the break for updated schedules of events and practices over the next several weeks. Schedules and practices are being constantly updated due to the weather conditions.

The RHS Paper Football Championship League is well on its way to a successful season. Players that have played at least 13 games as of 4/10 have now qualified for the playoffs. The top ten teams based on winning percentage will participate in the playoffs with each division leader receiving a bye in the first round. The winner will receive a trophy.
There is still plenty of time for new players to join and current players to qualify for the playoffs. Paper football is held every Wednesday during KTB with Mr. Hollis. Mr. Hollis may add another day in the future.

The 5th Six Weeks Ends on Thursday April 18th.

The Riverside Horticulture Department will begin their Annual Spring Plant sale with a four day kick off. The greenhouse will be open April 15th throAprilugh April 18th. Hours of operation are from 9:30- 3:30 each day. The greenhouse will close from 19th through April 28th but reopen on Monday April 29th. Come out and get a good start on your vegetable and flower gardens and houseplants.

Help save the Earth! Please continue to save your plastic bottle caps and drop them in the bucket on the left side of the cafeteria or give them to Mrs. Butler in Room #206, for an art project.
