SENIORS - Graduation Practice for the Class of 2024 will be on June 7th at 10:00 am in the cafeteria. We will begin in the cafeteria & move to the auditorium. All debts, including senior fees, must be paid before you will be allowed to participate in practice. Several of you have not yet cleared your debts or returned chromebooks! You must take care of this ASAP! f you do not attend practice, you WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony on Saturday. DO NOT BE LATE FOR PRACTICE! THE LONGER IT TAKES US TO START, THE LONGER PRACTICE WILL LAST! Graduation tickets will be given out after practice.
Dear Parents or Guardians,
As we approach the end of the school year, we kindly ask for your assistance in ensuring the return of all Chromebooks and chargers that were provided to students. This will allow us to inventory and prepare the devices for the upcoming school year. Our staff will inspect each device upon return for any damages. Lost Chromebooks and/or chargers should be reported to the media coordinator.
Parents are responsible for replacing lost or stolen Chromebooks and chargers. The cost for a replacement charger is $25.00 and the cost of a Chromebook is $250.00 as stated in the MCS Student Device Agreement that was given to parents and students at the beginning of the school year.
If the Chromebook is returned damaged the student and student’s parent/guardian will be charged as follows for theft, destruction, or damage to the device as stated in the MCS Student Device Agreement if the $25 student fee has been paid:
First damage incident - no cost
Second damage incident - $25.00 charge
Third damage incident - full cost of repair/replacement
Loss / Theft - full cost of repair/replacement minus $25.00
Damage from intentional misuse - full cost of repair/replacement
If the tech fee was not paid, the full cost of the repair will be charged.

SCREEN -$129.00
KEYBOARD -$69.00
BEZEL -$34.00
TOP/BOTTOM PLASTIC -$32.00
CHARGER - $25.00
DEVICE - $250.00
If the Chromebook has been stolen, theft of the device must be reported to the school and law enforcement.

Parents of SENIORS, please check with your student to make sure they have returned chromebooks, chargers, and cleared their debts. There are numerous seniors that have not returned items to school. This must be done by 3:00 on Thursday for them to participate in graduation practice!
The MCS Internship program is on fire and Jayla Everett now knows how to handle EMS and fire calls. The MCS senior interned with Williamston Fire/Rescue, seen here with Chief Peaks and other local heroes, as she learned the ropes (and hoses) of firefighting.

Seniors - if you do not have a state exam next week you need to return your chromebook and charger to the RHS Media Center by 2:50 Friday, May 31.
Any other 9-12 student that does NOT HAVE A STATE EXAM should also return their chromebook and charger to the RHS Media Center by 2:50 Friday, May 31.

Gage Savage has enhanced his agricultural mechanic skills while interning at Atlantic & Southern Implement Company, formerly C&R Implement of Williamston. Gage has received rave reviews from the shop manager and is looking forward to continuing his pursuit of using his technical and mechanical skills via the Line Technician program after graduation.

Gaining work experience, serving with others, and making an impact in the local community is what internships are all about. Seen here serving at Georgia Deans Restaurant of Williamston, Elise Missigman far surpassed her required hours as she enjoys her intern environment and the business relationships she has formed.
We have a few students who are interning in the food service industry. Janielle James, a senior at RHS, is interning and now employed at Golden Skillet of Plymouth. Janielle, seen here with a few of her co-workers, reminds us it is not "fast food" but "good food quickly". This internship has helped her appreciate the business aspect of a restaurant while gaining customer service experience as well.
