These are the weekly announcements for Riverside High School for the week of October 17, 2022:
- The 1 time Senior fees are currently $75 & are payable to Mr. Delph each day by 1:30 pm. This fee covers the cost of your cap & gown unit, as well as other graduation expenses. Fees will increase by $10 at the end of October to $85.
- Boys Basketball Tryouts will begin Oct 31st 330-530. You must have all final forms and current physical to take part. Fall athletics your tryout will begin the school day after your season ends. Workouts for anyone not playing a current sport are going on already. See Coach Williams for information.
- The Senior t-shirt sale has been extended through October 21. Please see Mr. Hollis in room 011. The price will be $20 for sizes S-XL; 2XL is $22.00; 3XL is $24.00; 4XL is $26.00. Please bring exact change or check before 1:30 pm. October 21 is the absolute last day that seniors may buy a shirt. There will be no reorders.
- Mr. Hollis and the RHS SGA would like to thank everyone who participated in the Homecoming Week festivities. Thanks for supporting RHS!
- The Annual Band Fruit Fundraiser will begin on Monday, October 3rd. Please see a band student or contact Ms. Cardwell to purchase fruit!
- Any student interested in joining the Interact Service Club needs to stop by & see Mrs. Hoggard in room 183 for an application. Applications & $30 dues are due by October 21st.
- The Media Center will be closed on the morning of Wednesday, October 19 for book checkouts due to the College Fair.
- Now is the time to register for Martin Community College Classes for the spring with Mr. Smith. If you have not met with him about spring classes, sign up for a knight lunch slot or stop by his office in Guidance on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Italy trip coming this summer July 19-28, 2023, meeting on October 18th in the Riverside High School media center. Please see Mrs. Joyner if you have any questions.
- RHS will celebrate Unity Day on Wednesday, October 19th. Students are encouraged to wear orange to show support for Bullying prevention.
- RHS will “Go Pink” on Friday, October 21st to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Students are encouraged to wear pink!
