Martin County Schools takes great pride in our Beginning Teacher Support Program. A newly formed partnership will allow that support to reach heights not previously possible on our own.
Our beginning teachers in their first or second year will start the new school year with unprecedented support, thanks to a brand-new partnership between Martin County Schools, the NC New Teacher Support Program, and the East Carolina University College of Education.
Weekly classroom visits by a support team from East Carolina University will provide in-the-moment coaching and support. Intentional coaching for beginning teachers is designed to strengthen their classroom skills and presence, while also enhancing the effectiveness and retention of new teachers.
