We kicked off the week at E. J. Hayes with an exciting new schoolwide incentive called Golden Paw Pieces. Classes are now working together to earn Golden Paw Pieces for positive behavior and teamwork as part of our PBIS initiative. As students show that they are Going for the GOLD by Giving Respect, Owning Their Actions, Leading with Kindness, and Doing Their Best, they move closer to earning fun rewards such as treats, extra recess, additional PE time, and the ultimate prize of duck taping Ms. Bennett and Mrs. White to the wall. Please continue to remind your students of these expectations and encourage them to work with their classmates to earn those Golden Paw Pieces. Together, we can help every Tiger shine.
Hayes Harvest Festival: November 21, 2025
We are excited to announce that E. J. Hayes will host the Hayes Harvest Festival on November 21, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. This event will be a fun and festive opportunity for our students to celebrate together.
The cost per student is $5.00. Students may only attend if the $5.00 fee has been paid and the parent permission slip has been signed and returned.

If you have not yet met with your child’s teacher for a parent-teacher conference, please reach out to schedule a time. These meetings are an important opportunity to learn about your child’s progress, strengths, and areas for growth. You can contact your child’s teacher by phone, email, handwritten note or through Class Dojo to set up a conference date and time that works best for you.
