You’ll begin to notice some exciting changes around Martin County High School as soon as students return on Monday, August 24!
Preparatory work is now getting underway for the construction of the new Martin County High School, and those early stages will bring visible changes to the campus from the very first day of school.

For morning traffic, the only drivers who will see a change to the usual routine are our school bus drivers. Student drop-off will continue just as it always has, in front of the cafeteria — please see the MORNING TRAFFIC INFORMATION graphic for details.
School buses will now enter the MCHS campus from Garrett Road, travel behind the track area, drop students off at the gym, and park along the back of what is currently the student parking lot. Students who park in this lot will not be impacted. We do ask all drivers and members of the public to be especially mindful of the new bus traffic pattern as everyone adjusts to the change.

The most visible traffic changes will occur during afternoon dismissal. Please refer to the AFTERNOON TRAFFIC INFORMATION graphic for a look at the new traffic pattern. School buses will load students in front of the cafeteria, then exit campus by traveling past the gym and track area before turning onto Garrett Road.
Cars entering campus for afternoon pickup will be directed to the student parking lot for pickup. Once students have been picked up, vehicles will exit campus using the traditional parking lot exit, just as they have in the past onto Godwin Avenue.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and attention as we move through this exciting process. Taking a few extra moments to follow these new traffic patterns will help us keep students, staff, families and drivers safe while we work toward something truly exciting — an amazing new Martin County High School facility for our students and community!
