Clarence “C.P.” Pointe II has been named a full-time assistant principal for Martin County High School. His position, which was approved by the Martin County Board of Education during the May 19 meeting, officially begins August 15.
Pointe is no stranger to Martin County High School. He most recently served as an Interim Assistant Principal while completing East Carolina University’s Pirate Leadership Academy, designed to prepare effective principals from Eastern North Carolina. During the 2024-2025 school year, Pointe also served as an Assistant Principal Intern at Riverside Middle School.
“Mr. Pointe has seamlessly integrated himself back into Martin County High School,” explained Dr. Michelle White, Superintendent of Martin County Schools.
Before beginning his pursuit of the administrative route, Pointe taught Business Education at the high school from 2019 to 2023. He started at the high school as an In-School Suspension Facilitator for the 2018-2019 school year.
He is also a long-time Track and Field coach for the high school.
“His in-depth knowledge and understanding of our student community at the high school have proven priceless. We are excited to see what he brings to the administrative team this coming school year,” White added.
Pointe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration(2013) from East Carolina University. He also completed his Master’s degree in School Administration (2025) from East Carolina University.
His North Carolina Professional Educator’s License is in Business and Information Technology Education.
