Good evening, The following are the weekly announcements from RHS:
Students are reminded to be to school and class on time each day. Students need to follow the MCS Dress Code each day. Students needs to follow the MCS cell phone and electronic device policy each day. Students that do not follow these policies will have spend time in a restricted environment.
Baseball tryouts will begin on Wednesday, February 13 and run through Friday, February 15. If interested in trying out, but not attended an interest meeting prior to now please make sure you have an updated physical, have passed at least 3 classes last semester and are signed up for at least 3 classes this semester. Participants must provide their own gloves, and be dressed in baseball attire--baseball pants/sweatpants, long sleeved shirt, and a hat. See Coach Allen in Room 160 if you have questions or concerns.
FCA will meet Wednesday, February 6th at 7:00 a m. at Bojangles. Everyone needs to attend. We will be taking our yearbook picture.
The annual band pancake supper fundraiser will be Thursday, February 7th from 5-8 pm in the RHS Cafeteria. Tickets are on sale for $7. Please see a band student or Ms. Cardwell to purchase. Tickets will also be available at the door.
There will be a color guard clinic for all current and prospective color guard members on February 20th and 21st from 5-7:30 pm. Please see Ms. Cardwell for more information.
The media center will be hosting a book drive during the month of February. Please donate gently loved Young Adult books. Books may be dropped off in the media center or at the main office.
Friends of Rachel will meet on Monday February 4, after school until 4, in Mrs. Butler’s room, #206.
Ani-Nation will meet again on Thursday, February 7, after school in Mrs. Butler’s room.

Students who are currently academically eligible for the Beta Club have been sent an email from Mrs. Hoggard. Students need to come see Mrs. Hoggard in room 183 to pick up an application packet. Packets are due back to Mrs. Hoggard by February 19th at 3:05 to be considered for membership. No late packets will be accepted.
