Good evening, The following are the weekly announcements from RHS:
The Riverside FFA is going to the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh on January 31st to support our tractor and truck drivers competing in the state driving competitions and to attend the Southern Farm Show. Students interested should contact Mr. Bennett before January 29th. The cost is $12.00 per student. We will leave RHS at 7:00 am and arrive back at 5:00pm.
Have you been accepted to a college or university? Ms. Highsmith wants to know! Bring or email her a copy of your acceptance letter so we can celebrate your accomplishments.
There will be college representatives on campus next week during Knight Lunch. On Monday February 4th, Meredith College will be on campus and on Tuesday, February 5th Pitt Community College will be here. If you are interested in attending either of these presentations, see or email Ms. Highsmith.
Seniors, the following scholarships are available in the Student Services:

Senior Fees are currently $35.00 and can be paid to Mrs. Alvarez by 1:15 each day. Senior fees will increase to $45.00 on Monday, February 4. You cannot graduate if you don’t pay your fees.
Seniors need to make sure they have ordered their cap and gown for graduation. See Mrs. Alvarez if you have any questions.
There is an important senior class meeting on Tuesday morning (1/29/19). Students should report to 1st period until they are called for.
The media center will be hosting a book drive during the month of February. Please donate gently loved young adult books. This is the only opportunity to add books to our collection this year.
The annual Riverside Band Pancake Supper Fundraiser will be held Thursday, February 7th from 5-8 pm in the RHS Cafeteria. Tickets are on sale now for $7. Please see a band student or Ms. Cardwell to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be sold at the door and in the drive thru.
There will be a colorguard clinic for all current and prospective colorguard members on February 20th and 21st from 5-7:30. Please see Ms. Cardwell for more details.
