Dear Parent or Guardian,

This summer, Martin County Schools will host a Summer Learning Recovery Program for 9th through 12th Graders who will benefit from additional support. We invite your child to attend our summer program, which is designed to provide intense focus and remediation on the specific content areas. Our goal of implementing the summer program is to ensure that your child is ready for the next level. Based on classroom performance, NC Check-Ins, EOCs, and attendance during the school year, your child demonstrates a need for additional help in one or more content areas.

Students that are eligible for the MCS Summer Learning Recovery Program:

•  Failed their EOC course.
•  Failed a non-EOC course and need to take credit recovery.
•  Want to take additional elective courses.

Our Summer Learning Recovery Program will begin on June 10, 2021 and end July 27, 2021 and will be held at RHS. We will not have school on July 5 th due to this being a holiday. All interested students are asked to attend this location. Your child’s extended learning session will be held each day from 8:00 – 11:30. We ask that your child attend camp each day and arrive on time. Bus transportation, breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to qualifying students. Students who are car riders, and wish to eat breakfast, will need to arrive by 7:45 am. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 am – 8:00 am. Class begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
