Announcements for April 5th - 10th

- Our next packet pick-up will be on Monday, April 6th from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.  We realize that some parents are working during this time and may not be able to pick-up packets at this time.  If you are not able to pick-up your child's packet, please contact the office  to make other arrangements. Please return your child's work from the 1st packet as well as any library books they have when you pick-up the 2nd packet.
- If you have a computer and internet access, please encourage your child to complete between 45 minutes and 1 hour of iReady Reading and iReady Math each week.  Students may complete lessons during the day, in the evening, or even on weekends.  We are excited that about 170 students were able to access iReady last week!
- Our school improvement team met on Friday and decided that we will open Accelerated Reader beginning on Monday for anyone who wishes to take a test. We do realize that not all students have access to books at home; therefore, students who are unable to take tests will not be penalized. We will not have any AR rewards this marking period; however, we will be recognizing students who have taken tests on our website!
- Parents, we know that this switch to online learning has been very challenging for families. I would like to thank you for all that you are doing to help your children at home. We do realize that many parents are still working and know that trying to manage a full-time job and help your children is a struggle.  Please don't get overwhelmed; just encourage your child to complete some work each day!  This will help to keep their minds active and ensure that they retain what they have learned thus far this year. We are here to help you, please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
- Lastly, please don't forget that hot lunches are available at RES each day from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and as well as at mobile sites around the county.  You can view a complete list of sites on the RES webpage and the Martin County Schools webpage.
