Good evening, The following are the weekly announcements from Jamesville Elementary School:
Parents are reminded that students do not have school on Friday February 14th and Monday February 17th. School is closed for staff on Monday February 17th.
JES and MCS will be participating in the NC Checkins Assessment Program. These assessments are important for your children and will assist teachers in determining the instructional path for the remainder of the school year. Please encourage your children to do their best.
We have Mathcounts practice on Monday February 10th at 3:00 pm.
We have Battle of the Books practice on Thursday February 13th at 3:00 pm.
Monday February 10th is the 100th day of school. Several classes are participating in events. Please communicate with your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Progress Reports go home to all children on Wednesday February 12th. Please be on the lookout for the information that may accompany your child’s progress report.
Please take time to read to and or read with your children at least 20 minutes each day. It has a big impact on their success in school.
A special thank you to the children and staff at JES. We participated in a campus lockdown drill on Thursday February 6th. They did an outstanding job. Thank you for your support as we work to keep your children safe.
Finally, Starting Monday - Please do not park on campus for afternoon pickup until after 2:30 pm.
