Good evening, The following are the weekly announcements from Jamesville Elementary School.
The 4th and 5th graders will be attending the POE Center in Raleigh on Monday, October 7th. Please have your students at school by 7:45 am so we may leave promptly at 7:50. Students will return to JES in time to depart school at the regular time. Students will not need any money and lunch will be provided. They do not need to bring any food or drinks for the bus ride unless the student has a specific medical condition.
Congratulations to Mrs. Hendrix. She is being recognized by North Carolina Science Teachers Association as the outstanding science teacher for region one in 2019. The honor will be awarded in November. We are very proud of her.
At Jamesville Elementary School we are working to improve student instruction and overall school performance each day. Parents, we need your help. We lost over 400 hours of instruction last week due to attendance and students arriving late and leaving early. If you have any questions or concerns or we can help in anyway, please contact administration at JES.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday and Friday of the week - October 10th and October 11th. Thursday is an early release day for students and parent-teacher conferences take place from 4 pm to 7pm. Conferences will continue on Friday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. A detailed phone message will go out on Wednesday night with more information for Thursday and Friday.
Hearing Screenings will take place at JES on Monday for Kindergarten and 3rd grade students beginning at 11:30 am.
Finally, The annual JES-Chuckwagon Fundraiser will take place Saturday October 12th from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please make plans to dine at the Chuckwagon on that date and thank you in advance for support JES and the Chuckwagon.
