Due to road conditions and other weather-related issues, Martin County Schools will be closed for students on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 and will be an Optional Workday for staff.  Staff should report by 9:30 am or take appropriate leave.

Parents and students, please keep in mind that the state requires a minimum number of instructional hours per year and a minimum number of teacher employment days.  With that said, we are also trying to make sure roads are safe for buses, parents, and student drivers.  We are also making sure our school buildings are ready to receive students, as we have experienced some weather-related issues in several buildings.

As we decide about make-up days, we are doing our best to both preserve spring break and reserve some make-up opportunities in the likelihood we receive more wintry weather.

Students and staff should be prepared to attend school this Saturday, January 13th.  School will dismiss at 1:00 pm on Saturday.  Also, Monday, January 22nd was originally a teacher workday.  That day will now be a school day with a 1:00pm dismissal.  More make-up information will be made available in the coming days.
